Spent all week watching the weather men showing pictures of zebra's arses so come today I just had to get out. The only wind forecast was on the east coast so thats where I had to be, speedy (Nick) drove 260 miles to get there - he must have been more desperate than me
Arrived around midday to be greeted by approx 10 mph but it gradually built to a good 20 mph+ cross shore with some reasonable waves.
I have NEVER been so cold in all my life and didn't last too long out there, I just didn't want to fall in so didn't try too many tricks. Got some good jumps and some ok waves before hyporthermia set in and we retired to Tescos for some hot food.
BIG respect to anyone who regularly sails the North sea in a NE wind - its not for me, I must be getting old.......
mmmmm its currently 25 DegC with 4m waves in Maui, now where did my wife hide my credit card??
